Mangodi (Moong Daal Pakodi)

Ingredients -
Dhooli mung Daal (100gms)
Dhooli maah daal (50 gms)
Ginger Garlic paste 1tsp
Dhaniya powder 1 tsp
Black paper crushed
Green chilies 2-3 chopped
Salt according to taste
Water ½ cup
For garnishing -
Cream
Green chutney or tomato sauce
Olive or Canola Oil for sallow fry (You can use normal oil also)
Method –
Mix both daals and soaked overnight. Take a mixture jar. Drain daals and put in to jar. Add ginger garlic paste, green chilies, Black paper, Dhaniya Powder and Salt. Add some water (1/2 cup) in it so it will grind smoothly. Grind all the mixture and make a thick batter.
Take a non-stick pan. Put some oil in to it (If you have brush then brush the pan with oil). Heat the oil and then with the help of spoon put batter in it. Fry 2-3 minutes and then turn it. Fry from both side. When you feel mangodi is crisp and cooked take it out. Now repeat the same exercise for remaining batter.
Enjoy Mangodi with any chutney or tomato sauce. We served it with green chutney (Mint and coriander) and cream. You can enjoy it with tea as a breakfast or as evening snacks.
