Bhavri ka namak
It is a type of fruit salt used
along with fruits or salad. Take few leaves of basil, locally known as bhavri
(Ocimum basilus Linn.), mustard leaves and green chillies. Mint leaves (Mentha
arvensis) may also be added to it and grind well. Add good amount of salt to
this paste and mix well. The shelf life of this preparation is approximately
one week. To increase its shelf life, mixture of salt and paste of Bhavri is
dried by keeping it on fire for some time and allowing it cool before storing.
